Dundee-based Albacom, a leading technology company specialising in providing electrical components for the defence and aviation industry, has been awarded a six figure contract with a leading aerospace and defence electronics company in India.

The eleven month contract commenced in June for the design, manufacture and testing of rugged Microwave Power Modules (MPMs). The scope of work involves integration of an electronic Power Supply Unit (PSU) and microwave amplifiers for test laboratory use and is due to be completed in April 2017.

The past year has seen significant growth and market expansion for Albacom, with the launch of the company’s new Lifting Services division.

Jim continued: “We’re forecasting a 30 percent total uplift in lifting services for the year and the creation of this fifth Albacom division ensures we are best placed to provide a specialist, holistic approach for our customers, at a time when Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations are becoming ever more stringent.
