Sunvalley Solar Awarded $1.3M Solar Installation Contract in Coachella, CA

Sunvalley Solar, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SSOL), a leading provider of solar power technology and solar integration systems, announced that it has signed a commercial solar installation contract with Prime Time Produce (Sun & Sand Enterprises, LLC) inCoachella, California.
Based in Southern California's Coachella Valley, Prime Time Produce is the largest year-round grower, packer and shipper of multi-colored peppers in the United States. Prime Time Produce's sales mix consists of open-field and hot house grown peppers. On a seasonal basis, other items produced with the same stringent guidelines include tomatoes, watermelons, green beans and corn. Additionally, Prime Time Produce is partners in various projects with industry stalwarts like Anthony Vineyards and Ocean Mist. A diverse distribution network supplies Prime Time Produce products throughout North America. Prime Time Produce's products are available at some famous retailers like Albertsons, Costco, Safeway, Kroger, etc.
The signed contract with Prime Time Produce consists of a 285 Kilowatt solar power system, comprised of 3,000 solar panels from Tianwei Solarfilms and one 260KW solar inverter from PV Powered. The total contracted value is approximately $1,311,000. The contract is supported by ~$630K of solar incentive rebates from the local utility company and ~$393K of Federal Tax Cash Grants from the Federal Treasury Department.
The solar system is expected to generate 437,952 Kilowatt hours of electricity annually. During the peak months of May through October the system will generate surplus power and earn credits with Imperial Irrigation District Utility, offsetting the less sunny winter months.
The installation for Prime Time Produce will begin in early 2011.
