Receives $1.2M Order from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems

Wednesday, Nov 05, 2008

Astronics Corporation (ATRO) has received a $1.2 million order from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, a unit of The Boeing Company (BA), to develop and produce an anti-collision light kit for the T-45 Goshawk Naval Training Aircraft. Boeing has delivered more than 200 T-45 Goshawk's.

Designed using light emitting diode (LED) technology as its illumination source, the cutting-edge anti-collision light will replace rotating beacon lights currently mounted on the fuselage and provide a significant improvement in performance and reliability. Astronics' aircraft navigational lighting products are designed to withstand the extreme shock and vibration common to the rugged environment of military aircraft.
