Tuesday, Sep 23, 2008

Nortel and T-Mobile of Germany claimed to have set a new benchmark in wireless data speeds by achieving a speed of 170Mbps for download and 50Mbps for upload.

The tie-up claims that the tests were conducted in a car moving at a speed of 70kmph. Based on the success of the trials, T-Mobile may now consider commercialising the services by adopting Nortel’s solution.
