New appointments for controlled bolting specialists HTL Group

As part of HTL Group’s continued growth plans, the controlled bolting OEM are pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Bendel, Business Development Manager and David Rainford, OEM Business Development Director.

Wendy joins HTL Group Scotland with a strong background in business development and key account management for the Oil and Gas sector across Scotland. Following Wendy’s time at Enermech as Business Development Manager within the Rigging and Equipment Department, Wendy’s main focus is to deliver HTL Group’s customer tailored OEM solutions on time and in budget across Scotland.

Wendy comments: “I am delighted to be a part of the HTL Group Scotland Team under the management and guidance of HTL Group Scotland’s Business Manager Marc Gerrard. We have a very strong portfolio of unrivalled products and services which I have complete confidence in sharing with the marketplace.”

HTL Group are also delighted to welcome David Rainford to the team as OEM Business Development Director. David joins HTL Group from the Hydraulics Industry, with over 15 year’s business development experience.
With a hands-on approach, David has spent a lot of time on-site within Refineries, Mines, and Shipyards and working directly with larger international companies to effectively manage and develop comprehensive global distributor networks.
The focus of David’s role at HTL Group is to concentrate on the global business development in key countries whilst assisting natural growth in areas that HTL already have presence.

Open Day Success for HTL Group Scotland


Controlled bolting specialist HTL Group Scotland has opened its doors to showcase their full suite of capabilities at their new facility in Dyce, Aberdeen.

The company welcomed visitors from a range of sectors to see the extensive group capabilities first hand including demonstrations of their core OEM products and Joint Integrity Software, an exclusive tour of the new facility and HTL’s brand new mobile exhibition, the HTL Expo Unit.

The opportunity to see the new facility and HTL’s OEM Controlled Bolting and Ancillary products on display offered attendee’s the chance to discover and learn more about the customer focused solutions available from the experienced and friendly team at HTL Group Scotland.

An insight into the ECITB Approved training offered by HTL Group Scotland also formed part of the busy day. The dedicated training centre within the facility allows for ECITB Approved MJI training to be delivered with fully equipped practical training rigs and premium quality classrooms for theory elements.

ECITB approve HTL Australasia’s training centre of excellence

Perth based HTL Australasia have received the ECITB’s approval for their dedicated training centre to deliver the mechanical joint integrity course; MJI 10, 18 & 19. The recent approval from the globally recognised ECITB ensures that HTL Australasia can deliver the widely acknowledged ECITB MJI 10, 18 & 19 training course from their fully equipped training centre. The course concentrates on the skilled performance expected of persons trained to dismantle, inspect, prepare, assemble and tighten flanged and clamp connector pipe joints using hand, hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment. Suited to a number of industries including Oil & Gas, Renewables, Wind Energy, Rail, Construction, Power Generation and many more, this popular course is ideal for all personnel involved in mechanical joint integrity and bolt torque tensioning activity in the work place.
