The DeepOcean Group owned Northern Wave has been equipped with CTC’s 1.5 Mega Watt jet trencher PT-1 and mechanical trencher T2.
This complete trenching package, comprising of the North Sea’s most powerful jet trencher and a track-based mechanical cutter from a company owned vessel with in-house survey crew, will provide the ideal cost-effective trenching solution from a single platform. With the added advantage of a pre-mobilised spread, DeepOcean is ideally positioned to undertake short lead-time projects and other spot market activities.
DeepOcean is in the process of adding jetting capabilities and 3 metre swords to T2 making this track- base vehicle the ideal trencher to operate in high current areas that predominate in shallow water regions where offshore wind projects are planned.
DeepOcean has the world’s largest fleet of specialised marine trenching equipment for burial and/ or trenching of pipelines, flowlines, power cables and umbilicals. DeepOcean is unique in its ability to be able to provide the full range of high technology trenching equipment including mechanical trenchers, ploughs and jetting ROVs, which are supported by a fleet of dynamically positioned vessels, flexible installation and shallow water spreads.
These assets have an enviable reputation within the industry for reliability, which is brought about by the use of class leading preventative maintenance regimes, which are implemented and managed by one of the most experienced teams of asset support personnel in the world.
DeepOcean can provide complete stabilisation solutions for a range of seabed conditions and water depths, and has the ability to trenching from beach to full field water depth. Trenching is the cost-effective and environmental-friendly solution to minimise costly rock dump and post trenching solutions.
