CSR at TAQA
The CSR program at TAQA is built around our definition of Corporate Social Responsibility. We use the definition provided by the World Business Council of Sustainable Development:
“Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development, whilst improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families, as well as of the local community and society at large.”
TAQA employees supporting “Clean-up UAE”
To us, this definition holds three key elements: organizations need to behave ethically; they should have a positive impact on the society in which they operate; and they need to be mindful of the environment. These three elements underpin our entire CSR program which seeks to meet the following objectives:
Guide TAQA’s aim of being a responsible local and global organization
Measure company performance using global CSR standards and benchmarks
Support TAQA’s business sustainability initiatives
Enhance TAQA’s reputation among stakeholders
Support diversity and inclusion across the organization
