Speakers announced for transatlantic business event
An impressive line-up of eminent speakers from the Aberdeen and Houston business communities has been unveiled for an event due to take place next month.
On March 19th, Aberdeen-based Granite PR will host the event simultaneously in Aberdeen and Houston giving delegates on both sides of the Atlantic the chance to benefit from international networking from their respective home cities thanks to the latest technology.
Providing the keynote address will be Rod Christie, CEO and VP for the Subsea Systems business at GE Oil & Gas. He will be joined by Her Majesty’s Consul General in Houston, Andrew Millar and Aberdeen City Council’s Director of Enterprise, Planning & Infrastructure Gordon McIntosh. Managing director of Portlethen-based Downhole Products Ian Kirk will also address the conference and he will be joined by Jim Nixon, President and CEO of Varel International Energy Services.
Knowledge sharing opportunities will be maximised thanks to panellists representing some of the leading organisations in Aberdeen and Houston.
The event will take the form of a breakfast at the Granduca Hotel, Uptown Houston and a lunch at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa, Aberdeen.
Granite PR founder and managing director Brett Jackson said: “We are delighted to announce this excellent line-up of speakers who will provide their own unique insight into business on both sides of the Atlantic.
“We hope that this event, prior to this year’s OTC and Offshore Europe, will not only celebrate the existing strong business links between the two cities but that it will also provide a springboard which will facilitate additional business opportunities in both locations.”
