Eclipse Resources acquires The Oxford Oil Company in the Utica Shale

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ – Eclipse Resources I, LP (“Eclipse Resources”) announced today that it has acquired The Oxford Oil Company, LLC, with approximately 184,000 net acres in Ohio and 13.8 Bcfe of proved developed producing reserves. The Oxford Oil Company, LLC (“Oxford”) was subsequently renamed to Eclipse Resources – Ohio, LLC and will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of Eclipse Resources. In conjunction with the acquisition, the company has completed a private offering of $300 million of senior unsecured notes with the ability to sell an additional $100 million over the next twelve months to the note acquirers. Afren plc announces significant oil discovery offshore Nigeria

The Ogo-1 well has been drilled to a total measured depth of 10,518 ft (10,402 ft true vertical depth subsea), and has encountered a gross hydrocarbon section of 524 ft, with 216 ft of net stacked pay.  The well was targeting 78 mmboe of gross P50 prospective resources, but based on evidence to date, targeted resources are likely to be significantly in excess of previous estimates.  Further evaluation using wireline log analysis is currently underway prior to extending the well to a total measured depth of 11,800 ft (11,684 ft true vertical depth subsea) to target further high potential zones. Delek Group announces government decision on natural gas sector in Israel

Delek Group’s gas subsidiaries, Delek Drilling LP and Avner LP, referred to Prime Minister Office (PMO) website and the publication of the Government’s decision report dated June 23, 2013, on the subject of Israel’s natural gas sector, according to which, inter alia, the government discussed the recommendations of the Committee examining the government policy of Israel’s natural gas sector and announced its decisions in the report. In addition, the gas subsidiaries have received a copy of a petition submitted to the High Court on the government’s decisions.
