Osiris Projects today announced its commitment to the PILOT Supply Chain Code of Practice. Launched in 2002, the initiative encourages purchasers and suppliers to collaborate to develop and maintain an effective and streamlined supply chain, responsive to the oil and gas industry’s evolving requirements.

Almost all major UKCS operators and principal contractors are signatories, and the initiative is endorsed by PILOT, the Industry Leadership Team and key trade organisations.

Seadrill reach 65.95% ownership in Asia Offshore Drilling Ltd

Seadrill Limited (“Seadrill”) has today acquired additional 1,887 shares of Asia Offshore Drilling Limited (the “Company”, OSE: AOD). The shares were acquired at a price of NOK 28.70 per share. BP to sell package of central North Sea assets to Taqa for $1.1 billion

BP announced today that it has agreed to sell its interests in a number of central North Sea oil and gas fields to TAQA for $1.058 billion plus future payments which, dependent on oil price and production, BP currently expects will exceed $250 million. The assets included in the sale are BP’s interests in the BP-operated Maclure, Harding and Devenick fields and non-operated interests in the Brae complex of fields and the Braemar field. Read more…

Noble Energy announces Big Bend discovery and Scotia results

Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NBL) today announced a discovery at the Big Bend exploration prospect in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.  The well, located in 7,200 feet of water on Mississippi Canyon Block 698, was drilled to a total depth of 15,989 feet. Open-hole logging identified approximately 150 feet of net oil pay in two high-quality Miocene reservoirs.
