Zentric, Inc. secures inventory to begin construction for 1.6 MW solar project

(OTCQB: ZNTR) William Tien, President of Zentric, Inc. is pleased to report that Zentric has acquired the solar panel inventory from its supplier in China that is required for its first two 800MW projects in North Carolina. Canadian solar and bank of China enter into a C$120 million construction financing agreement for solar power plant development in Ontario

MidAmerican solar and First Solar announce start of major construction on largest solar project in the world

This week, MidAmerican Solar and First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) marked the start of major construction at Topaz Solar Farms, located in San Luis Obispo County, Calif. The 550-megawatt photovoltaic project will employ approximately 400 workers during its three-year construction period; will generate nearly $417 million in local economic impact, the majority of which will be generated during construction; and will provide California with renewable electricity. SolarWorld solar panels power largest solar installation in West Virginia

American Public University System (APUS), an online higher-education provider focused on the military and public service communities, has christened the largest solar array in West Virginia. The 407-kilowatt system is comprised of 1,671 high-performance solar panels from SolarWorld, the largest U.S. solar manufacturer for more than 35 years. Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) announced results from the Teak-4A appraisal well, located in the West Cape Three Points Block, offshore Ghana. Located 6.1 kilometers (3.8 miles) northwest of the Teak-1 discovery well, the Teak-4A well was targeting the stratigraphic extension of the Teak discovery area. The well encountered thin, non-commercial reservoirs and is being plugged and abandoned.
