Gazprom completes production wells drilling at Nizhne-Kvakchikskoye field in Kamchatka

Gazprom completed drilling of five gas condensate production wells at the Nizhne-Kvakchikskoye field. Once the construction and connection of new wells is finished, the total number of wells will reach nine – that will create the conditions required to increase gas output to the projected level – from 175 to 575 million cubic meters a year. As of 1 April 2012, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has instructed DNO International ASA to halt delivery of that portion of crude oil produced from the Tawke oil field that was destined for the Iraqi national pipeline system for eventual export through Turkey. Canacol Energy Ltd. provides update on the Tardigrado-1 exploration well, andaquies block, Colombia

Canacol Energy Ltd. (“Canacol” or the “Corporation”) (TSX:CNE)(BVC:CNEC) reports that C&C Energia Ltd. (the “Operator”) has finished the drilling and testing of the Tardigrado-1 well in the Andaquies Exploration & Production (“E&P”) contract located in Colombia and has subsequently abandoned the well. The Tardigrado-1 well encountered 60 feet of sandstone from the Caballos reservoir with an average porosity of 19%. The Caballos reservoir was perforated and tested in the intervals from 4,413 to 4,430 feet and between 4,442 to 4,445 feet. Swab tests from both intervals produced fresh water with slight traces of oil. Read more…

HOUSTON, March 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (NYSE: COG) today announced that it has been notified by Williams of a flash fire, which extinguished itself immediately, at the Lathrop compressor station.  “The cause of the fire is being investigated and fortunately all personnel are safe and accounted for,” said Dan O.
