Mercury Solar Systems completes first two commercial installations in Maryland

Mercury Solar Systems, one of the top solar integrators on the East Coast, today announced that it has completed its first two commercial installations in Maryland in partnership with Nautilus Solar. The Company installed 1MW of ground mount and rooftop systems at sites in Talbot and Frederick Counties. Talbot County’s solar system is the largest funded to date by The Maryland Energy Administration’s Project Sunburst Program. E.ON launches project unique in Europe to store heat from renewable energy sources

A project that is unique in Europe has been launched in Hamburg by E.ON to feed heat from renewable energy sources into the public district heating grid. Home owners who produce heat with the aid of solar-thermal systems can feed it into the grid of E.ON Hanse Wärme. A customer feeding in heat continues to own it, meaning that he can feed in heat in the summer and then withdraw it again in colder months. This enables home owners to dispense with the need for buying their own storage units for their solar-thermal systems as well as the complex control devices required. Read more…

Air Products’ Leading Technology Selected for World’s First Floating LNG facility at Shell’s Australia Prelude Project

Air Products (NYSE: APD), the leader in providing liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology and equipment to the world, today announced it has been selected to supply its proprietary cryogenic coil wound LNG heat exchanger for the world’s first Floating LNG (FLNG) facility to be located in the Browse Basin off the northwest coast of Western Australia.  In May, Shell announced it had made its final investment decision to move forward with the Prelude FLNG project. Air Products had been carrying out engineering in support of the front-end engineering design effort for the Prelude FLNG Project by a Technip and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) consortium. Wärtsilä signs Dynamic Maintenance Planning contract for six LNG carriers operated by Ceres LNG Services Ltd

Wärtsilä has been awarded a five-year technical management contract, based on Dynamic Maintenance Planning, covering six LNG carriers. The contract has been placed by the operator of the vessels, Ceres LNG Services Ltd, a Greek ship management company and a major marine service provider in LNG shipping.  Read more…

Republic of Chad Awards ERHC Energy Inc. Three Oil Blocks for Exploration and Development

ERHC Energy Inc.
