Ducab appoints new GM Sales and Marketing to direct strategic growth of company’s sales

In a move to capitalize on recent product diversification and expansion, Ducab—one of the leading manufacturers of power cables in the Middle East—has announced the appointment of a new General Manager for its global Sales & Marketing division based out of the company’s Jebel Ali headquarters in Dubai.  Senior executive Colin McKay will lead the integration of Ducab’s local and international marketing strategies, including the development of key projects within the Utilities, Oil Gas & Petrochemical sector, Ducab’s expanding contractor business within the Middle East, and the commercial launch of the AED 500m joint venture Ducab HV factory in 2011.

Prysmian secures SylWin1 project by TenneT for the cable connection of offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German power grid

Prysmian, a leading worldwide player in the energy and telecommunications cable industry, has been awarded a project worth more than €250 million by the Dutch-German grid operator TenneT for the connection project SylWin1, linking offshore wind farms in the North Sea to mainland Germany.
