FLIR Systems Announces $11.1 Million Modification to Service Contract From the U.S. Army

PORTLAND, OR, Aug 28, 2008 — FLIR Systems, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a $11.1 million modification to a Performance Based Logistics (PBL) support contract from the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, Alabama. This contract provides for service, upgrades, and logistics support for certain U.S. Army and USMC programs. The total value of the contract has been increased to $71.6 million. Including deliveries made so far this year, revenue under this modified contract is expected to be approximately $15 million in 2008.

Boeing San Antonio Earns Benchmark Certification for Environmental Practices

StatoilHydro Mongstad recovers oil vapour

StatoilHydro’s crude oil terminal at Mongstad in Hordaland has opened the world’s largest oil vapour capture and recovery plant.The formal opening of took place in the sunshine Thursday morning witnessed by a number of guests from partners, contractors and municipal authorities.The plant, which went into operation at the end of June, is a VOC plant. It captures volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in oil vapour which are released when crude oil tankers are loaded.

ExxonMobil Commences Site Work at Point Thomson to Support Drilling Program

Sibir Provides Moscow Refinery Update

Sibir is pleased to announce that its downstream subsidiary, Moscow Oil and Gas Company (“MOGC”), and Gazprom Neft (“GPN”) have transferred their respective beneficial shareholdings in the Moscow Refinery to Moscow NPZ Holdings B.V. (“Moscow NPZ Holdings”), a company incorporated in the Netherlands by way of share subscriptions in kind, in exchange for a 50% stake each in the new company. In addition MOGC and GPN have each contributed one million euros to the share capital of Moscow NPZ Holdings.  With the completion of the share transfer, NPZ Holdings now controls 90.02% of the voting shares of the Moscow Refinery.  In accordance with Russian law on joint stock companies Moscow NPZ Holdings will make a mandatory offer to minority shareholders for the remaining voting shares in the Moscow Refinery.

TKMS Blohm + Voss Nordseewerke hand over the first 3,400 TEU series container ship

In a ceremony held on August 29, 2008, the CSAV RUNGUE – built by TKMS Blohm + Voss Nordseewerke in Emden – has been handed over to the Elsfleth-based shipping line MARTIME. The ship had been launched on May 9, 2008, and is the first of a series of 3,400 TEU container ships.

Riser Isolation Operation Completed

HOUSTON, TX USA – TDW Offshore Services successfully completed a key subsea flex-joint isolation operation on the Independence Trail natural gas pipeline for Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in the Gulf of Mexico.The isolation operation allowed critical repairs to be made on the flex-joint assembly of the 20-inch export riser on the Enterprise Independence Hub platform in Mississippi Canyon Block 920 that had begun to leak in April 2008.
