Nexus signs Letter of Intent for FPSO in the Philippines

The meeting was co-chaired by Valery Golubev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Ilya Mikhalchuk, Head of the Arkhangelsk Oblast Administration.

Gas Cities LLC, a joint venture between Dana Gas PJSC, the Middle East’s first and largest regional private-sector natural gas company, and its partner Crescent Petroleum, announced today that the 461 million square foot site for the Kurdistan Gas City has been officially assigned by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), for development by Gas Cities LLC, following extensive surveys that have been completed on potential sites within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

(NYSE: WG) today announced that, in Canada, Willbros has been awarded contracts by Enbridge Pipelines Inc. for construction of the Canadian Mainline Pipeline Project, Contract “A” Line 4 Expansion and a segment of the Alberta Clipper pipeline. The scope of work for the Line 4 Expansion includes 135 kilometres (km) of 36-inch pipelines in three loops from Sherwood Park to Hardisty, Alberta. The Alberta Clipper segment includes 99 km of 36-inch pipeline from Hardisty to the Alberta/Saskatchewan border near Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. The work is scheduled for August 2008 to March 2009, with final pipeline right-of-way clean-up in summer 2009.The Alberta Clipper project is a new 1,607 km oil pipeline from Hardisty, Alberta to Superior, Wisconsin. The Canadian portion of the project involves the construction and operation of facilities including approximately 1,078 km of new 36-inch diameter oil pipeline between Enbridge’s Hardisty Terminal and the Canada – United States border near Gretna, Manitoba.

New Security Barrier to be Installed Across the Lower Saluda River

June Imports Up 7 Percent vs. May

Washington, D.C. – Based on preliminary Census Bureau data, the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported today that the U.S. imported a total of 2,675,000 net tons (NT) of steel in June 2008, including 2,068,000 NT of finished steel (up 7  percent and 1 percent, respectively, vs. May final data).  While total and finished steel imports through the first six months of 2008 are down 11 percent and 13 percent, respectively vs. the same period in 2007, the monthly average for finished imports in the most recent 3-month period (April-June 2008) is up 2 percent vs. the monthly average in the previous 3 months (January-March 2008).  Total and finished imports on an annualized basis this year are each down 5 percent vs. 2007.  On an annualized basis, total imports of steel in 2008 would be 31.8 million NT.
