Sony and cable firms agree on built in digital cable solution

ExxonMobil selects URS to provide EPC management for natural gas treatment facility

URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that the Company has been awarded a contract by ExxonMobil to provide detailed engineering, procurement and construction management services for a commercial demonstration plant that will use ExxonMobil’s Controlled Freeze Zone(TM) (CFZ(TM)) technology. CFZ(TM) seeks to expand the use of carbon capture and storage by reducing the cost of removing carbon dioxide from natural gas.

KBR gets US$275 million contract from North West Upgrading

Military and engineering contractor KBR Inc. said Wednesday it has received a $275 million construction and fabrication contract from North West Upgrading, a Calgary-based, privately owned company which is building an independent, heavy oil upgrader.The project is expected to last about 30 months and will peak with roughly 450 personnel.

Petrobras plans high output refinery

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has confirmed plans to build a fourth new refinery in addition to two refineries and a petrochemical complex already in the pipeline. Petrobas is conducting studies to build the oil processing plant with a capacity above the average of its existing 11 plants- a 600,000 bpd premium refinery.
