HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KENTUCKY, September 24, 2014 ― General Cable (NYSE: BGC) announced today that the Republic of Korea has selected its 60-year service life nuclear cables. In a new multi-year contract, General Cable will manufacture and supply ULTROL® 60+ Class 1E nuclear qualified cable to Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), a subsidiary of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). General Cable was awarded this business based on ULTROL’s innovative and performance-proven product design and 60-year-life qualification testing demonstrated via third-party documentation, as well as General Cable’s robust quality system and ability to meet project delivery requirements. GENERAL CABLE AWARDED ANTELOPE VALLEY STATION TO NESET TRANSMISSION PROJECT

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KENTUCKY, September 23, 2014 ― General Cable (NYSE: BGC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Basin Electric), one of the largest electric generation and transmission (G&T) cooperatives in the United States, to address the need for additional electric transmission capacity in northwestern North Dakota. In the contract valued at $10 million, General Cable will supply overhead conductor for a new 345 kV transmission line running from the Antelope Valley Station to substations near Grassy Butte and Williston, ending at the Neset substation near Tioga. General Cable Updates Third Quarter and Full Year Outlook

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–General Cable Corporation (NYSE:BGC) announced today third quarter and full year adjusted operating income are expected to be at or around the low end of management’s previously communicated range of $60 million and $200 million, respectively. Adjusted operating cash flow for the full year is expected to trend toward the low end of management’s guidance range of $135 million due principally to the lower cash earnings expected over the second half of the year. The Cincinnati Streetcar is currently in its first phase of development, which will provide the downtown and uptown areas of Cincinnati with 3.6 miles of track connecting key businesses and locations. The project will offer transportation services, 18 hours a day, 365 days a year. A car builder will manufacture five streetcars, with the capacity to hold up to 150 people per vehicle. General Cable Reports Third Quarter Operating Income 51% above Prior Year; Board of Directors Authorizes Share Repurchase Program

General Cable Corporation (NYSE: BGC), one of the most globally diversified industrial companies, reported today results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2011. Diluted earnings per share for the third quarter of 2011 were $0.07. Included in these results were $0.10 per share of non-cash convertible debt interest expense and $0.16 per share of mark to market losses on financial derivatives accounted for as economic hedges. Before the impact of these items, adjusted non-GAAP earnings per share for the third quarter of 2011 would have been $0.33.
