Friday, Nov 14, 2008
Avago Technologies, a supplier of interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, has introduced its new FieldBus optical fibre transmitter and receiver modules. The company said its HFBR-15x5/25xx industrial-grade optical fibre modules have been designed with full metal housing and connectors, making deployed communications equipment in the field more robust and providing efficient RFI/EMI shielding. The new components support SERCOS, Interbus and PROFibus standards and give high levels of ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection.
The HFBR-15x5/25xx modules are based on 650 nm wavelengths with SMA and ST connector ports and are compatible with 1 mm POF/200um HCS (hard-clad silica fibre). Features such as data rates from DC to 10 MBd and DC to 16 MBd along with a -40 to 85 degree C operating temperature range are also included.
