AquaTerra receives OPITO approval for Authorised Gas Tester Training

Aberdeen based Health and Safety Training Company, AquaTerra Training Ltd, has received OPITO approval to deliver Authorised Gas Tester courses.
Accreditation of the occupational health and safety related course by the industry skills body marks a significant step forward for AquaTerra’s ambitions to become an international leader in practical Health and Safety related courses for industry. The accreditation also adds depth to their service and further demonstrates to clients their commitment to quality assurance.
The Authorised Gas Tester qualification compliments AquaTerra’s other offerings such as Confined Space and Breathing Apparatus that already form part of the comprehensive portfolio of courses being run form the AquaTerra training centre in Kintore and at client facilities onshore and offshore both in the UK and overseas.
The level 1 course covers all aspects of Gas Testing for Oxygen, Flammable and Toxic gases up to and including the requirement for testing confined space atmospheres prior to personnel entry.

Established in 2004, AquaTerra Training Ltd employs over 25 employees from offices based in Aberdeen and Ghana and had a turnover of £1.5m in 2011 with a healthy increase expected for their 2012 results.
